Just what Regular Visits to a Dentist in Fayetteville, NC Can Do for You

Dental care is a vast study of oral and dental health. It is not only about freeing yourself of tooth pain or keeping harmful bacteria from your oral cavity. There?s far more to the services of a dentist in Fayetteville NC than precautionary, restorative, and cosmetic care. Your dental professional may offer other certain services to help remedy particular cases not gone through by many. Below are a few of these services.

Functional

People suffering from bruxism or teeth grinding need dental devices to stop the habit. Teeth grinding brings about damage on the teeth leaving behind the individual with irregularly shaped set. What?s more serious regarding the problem is that affected individuals normally experience this event during sleep. They?re unaware their teeth are grinding or clenching throughout sleep. To avoid more damage, you have to use splints in the evening. Visit your dentist in Fayetteville, NC, if you think your teeth are starting to deteriorate because of the condition.

Technology

Many dental check-ups and treatments are high-priced partly because of the products used. While it could possibly be high priced, you?re sure of the accuracy and reliability of the treatment method. Instead of returning for multiple sessions, your dentist Fayetteville North Carolina may use the latest equipment to check on your teeth. You can get a very good view of your current oral health with a digital X-ray. It?s possible to receive the results in just a couple hours. Your Fayetteville dentist may quickly translate the conclusions and recommend options on how to deal with your current difficulties, if there are actually any.

A number of dental clinics, nowadays, make use of intraoral cameras during check-ups. You can observe how your mouth is like using these video cameras featuring live feed on a monitor. With this, you may instantly observe what your dentist in Fayetteville, NC discovers about your teeth. It?s simpler to understand what your dentist is saying when you can actually see the issue for yourself. It can also help you select what options to take, as you can see the severity of the harm.

Therapeutic

dentists in Fayetteville NC don?t only look after your teeth, but your gum area as well. The gumline gives support for the teeth however when disorders hit this area, it could lead to loss of teeth. Periodontal therapy aids in preventing gum diseases from dispersing and damaging much of your teeth. The initial phase of the treatment therapy is the removing of oral plaque buildup in between the teeth and also the gumline. Regular brushing may not reach these points and germs could accumulate. If not avoided, germs may go deep into the teeth and damage the nerves and damage the gum area. Fayetteville dentists may give you anti-biotics to regulate infection and prevent loss of tooth.

Look for these services when looking for a brand new regular dentist to visit monthly. Always go for check-ups to keep yourself up-to-date on the status of your oral health. Prevent disorders before they become worse when you have dental professionals to take care of your dental health.

SMURF TURF

For the first time, field hockey is being played on shocking blue turf at the London games. Designers behind the idea claim the game is somehow faster on blue, made famous stateside by Boise State's football team.

Australian and South African men who played on it Monday morning say they only notice a difference when watching on TV.

The switch from green is going to take some getting used to for spectators at Riverbank Arena.

Imagine watching Michael Phelps plunge into a purple pool or LeBron James dribble on a green court.

Even more eye-opening to some was the hot pink border to the field. "It's a little bit extreme," says Andy Sugden, a Londoner.

A WAY WITH FISTS ? AND WORDS

The biggest character on the Irish boxing team is also the smallest.

John Joe Nevin, a bantamweight, is a member of Ireland's homegrown Gypsy community, known as the travellers. They're renowned for underground bare-knuckle fighting contests.

The 5-foot-9 (1.80 m) Nevin has a refreshingly direct approach both inside the ring and out.

Following his opening 21-6 win versus Denmark's Dennis Ceylan, Nevin was asked a series of increasingly intricate questions about how he managed to score particular points. One journalist, unsatisfied with the explanations, asked Nevin if he knew how the scoring system worked.

His reply: "You just want to hit him more times than he hits you, and you're grand."

ATHLETES AND SPONSORSHIP

The Twitter hashtag used by athletes upset at not being able to honor their professional sponsors is "WeDemandChange2012."

The IOC has seen the tweets and seems unmoved.

Sanya Richards-Ross is one of the U.S. athletes who are part of a Twitter campaign demanding changes in Olympic Rule 40 ? which, among other things, does not permit athletes "to promote any brand, product or service within a posting, blog or tweet or otherwise on any social media platforms or on any websites."

Asked about the Twitter campaign, IOC spokesman Mark Adams referred to the upset athletes as ones who are "lucky enough" to have high-profile sponsorship.

"This lasts for one month," Adams said. "We have a huge number, some 10,500 athletes, who understand why we do that."

Rule 40 is intended to protect official Olympic sponsors, as IOC President Jacques Rogge made clear this month: "Our position is very clear. We have to protect the sponsors because otherwise there is no sponsorship and without sponsorship there is no games."

TICKETS, TICKETS, TICKETS

A large portion of Monday's daily Olympic organizing committee briefing was spent discussing one subject: tickets.

London organizers have gone to international federations to reclaim unused tickets, which have become a bit of an embarrassment because of swaths of empty seats at several venues through the first few days.

The reclaimed tickets will be sold daily on Ticketmaster ? but to Britain residents only.

"We've said from the beginning anything available will go to the British public, and that's what we'll continue to do," said London organizing committee Jackie Brock-Doyle. "Clearly the demand is there, and we don't need to worry about them not being sold. We sold 3,000 tickets overnight."

Organizers also had to open a dedicated will-call window in the athletes village because of long lines that apparently caused some parents to miss their children's swimming events on Sunday.

Organizers say that with more than 10,000 athletes to serve and the "enormous demand" for tickets, they are making adjustments as issues arise.

WHERE ARE MY KEYS?

The London Organizing Committee saw no humor in a lost set of keys that required a change of locks at Wembley Stadium.

The set of keys were misplaced before the games began, and Scotland Yard has acknowledged it is to blame.

Asked during Monday's daily briefing what had happened, LOCOG spokeswoman Jackie Brock-Doyle gave few details.

"We changed the locks," was all she offered during he formal portion of the briefing.

Asked for more information, Brock-Doyle was curt. "They got lost. I don't know. The police lost them," she snapped, then rolled her eyes. "The locks were changed. I don't know what more you'd like me to say."

BORIS GOOD ENOUGH?

The early returns are in. Britain's biggest winner from the London Games may not be an athlete, but the city's mop-haired, brilliantly bumbling mayor, Boris Johnson.

Long seen in some Conservative Party quarters as a badly concealed oddball, Johnson's political star is soaring amid the Olympic limelight. His loose-cannon loquaciousness is popping up everywhere as he offers self-deprecating jokes alongside bikini-clad volleyballers and at Queen Elizabeth's side as she tours Olympic venues.

His unique mix of qualities ? simultaneously posh and unpolished, capable of mind-boggling erudition one moment and the most crowd-pleasing barb the next ? seems to be touching a popular nerve.

The right-wing Mail on Sunday is lauding Johnson as the ultimate political exemplar of "a nation unafraid to take risks or laugh at itself." The left-wing Independent sees "the beginnings of a Churchillian stature" in Johnson and credits him with "the size of personality that is waiting for a crisis that will summon him to greatness."

And the Independent even carried a poll Monday among Conservative members identifying Boris as the party's most attractive successor to the incumbent prime minister, David Cameron.

HATS ON

After 200 years, it seemed just about time for a fresh hat for Admiral Nelson, the hero honored in Trafalgar Square.

Nelson's column, one of London's most famous landmarks, received new headgear on Monday, with a snappy bicorn made by the same company that designed hats for the admiral lo those many years ago. Lock & Co, the oldest hatter in London, decorated the hat in a Union flag and adorned it with an Olympic torch.

Nelson led Britain to victory over the combined fleets of France and Spain in the Battle of Trafalgar, but was mortally wounded in the confrontation that secured Britain's naval supremacy in 1805.

One wonders what Nelson would think of this one. Certainly more colorful this time around.

Tunisia may have missed out on its first medal at the London Olympics because of bad math. Weightlifter Khalil El-Maoui was in second place of the men's 56-kilogram competition after the snatch but never showed up on the platform for the second lift, the clean and jerk.

Afterward, he blamed his coach for submitting an entry weight that was 10 kilograms too high.

"It was a mistake," El-Maoui says. "I should have started lifting at 148 kilograms but my coach entered 158 kilograms by mistake."

THOSE EMPTY SEATS?

The London organizing committee spoke Sunday with International Federations about empty seats at venues, and they've reclaimed tickets that do not plan to be used.

Jackie Brock Doyle says about 3,000 tickets were given back to London organizers on Sunday night for Monday's events and promptly sold out. About 600 of those were for Monday's gymnastics session.

Brock Doyle says organizers will continue to reclaim tickets from federations each day to resell to the public.

"Everybody is giving up what they can," she says. "we are trying everything we can to make sure those accredited seats are filled."

Computer Gaming Headset

I'm planning on building a gaming computer nearing Christmas, and I'm starting to plan out my build. This will be my first build and I'd like to make it last. I plan on continually upgrading it (probably yearly) and slowly turning it into a better machine while adding any new products that come out. I realize that new hardware may come out before I build it in Christmas, but might as well start planning now.

With that said, I'm not on a completely strict budget (yet), but I would like to keep the computer below $750. I have my peripherals picked out already (R.A.T 5, AOC 20" Widescreen LED Monitor, ThermalTake KB-CHP001US eSports Challenger. Already have a gaming headset. Feel free to critique the peripherals, also.) and it will end up being around $1,000 at the end.

Anyway, this computer will be used mostly for gaming and a bit of video/graphics editing, so a strong video card and some good memory are must. I'd honestly prefer an Intel i5 2500k processor, but it would probably be more cost effective to get a AMD x4 Phenom II BE. I'm also REALLY wanting a GeForce GTX 560 Ti, as it is a recommendation for BF3 coming out in a few weeks; a game I really want to play. Everything else is basically up for negotiation. I'd just like to get some input on what I should do.

Here is a short build I wrote up that may work. I do not know much about various parts, though, so please help me out and tell where I could improve it. Could some also please confirm for me that this build would be completely compatible?

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core Processor - $115
Asus M4A88T-V EVO USB3 Motherboard - $100
Kingston KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) RAM - $55
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti - $250
Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black Hard Drive 7200RPM 64MB - $80
Asus DRW-24B3ST/BLK/G/AS Internal 24x CD/DVD Drive - $25
Cooler Master RC-310-RWN1-GP Elite 310 Mid-Tower Case - $40
Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750-Watt - $95

Total Computer - $760

Thanks in advance, guys.

It was more Usain Bolt then Haile Gebrselassie.

Predicted commuting chaos as London attempted to juggle a regular business day and the strain of hosting the Olympics didn't materialize early Monday morning ? at least not along the capital's cycle lanes.

A regular ride from north London to the Houses of Parliament ? a small spike from the Olympic beach volleyball courts ? took a zippy 20 minutes, almost 5 minutes less than during a usual Monday morning.

While a major route that links London to the country's M1 highway had typically thick traffic, many other roads appeared far quieter, with schools closed for summer holidays and many businesses advising staff to work from home.

Along a cycle path in Hyde Park, bicycle commuters negotiated new obstacles ? barriers and bright pink banners put in place for Olympic visitors, but raced along several roads in central London which have been temporarily cleared of car traffic.

FLASHBACK: LONDON 1908

The first Olympic Games held in London, in 1908, was noted for partisanship and acrimony, starting at the opening ceremony. A stadium was decorated with flags of the participating nations, but the United States flag was missing. "The pat British explanation was that they could not find one," according to "Pursuit of Excellence, The Olympic Story." The U.S. delegation was well supplied with flags, however, and during a parade of athletes the Americans refused to dip their flag as they marched past King Edward VII, starting a U.S. tradition. LOUD PANTS

Did you see those argyle pants Norway's curling team wore for the winter Olympics and think, "I wish they made something like that for the beach?"

Neither did I.

But American beach volleyball players Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser did.

The defending gold medalists took to the sand for the first time on Sunday night wearing a funky red, white and blue boardshort designed by Loudmouth, the same company that made the much-discussed pants the Norwegian curlers wore in the Vancouver Games. They narrowed it down from eight choices to three they'll wear in London.

Rogers told the AP's Janie McCauley this spring that he doesn't care what the clothes look like as long as they fit well so they don't distract him while he's playing.

"I don't think anyone's ever worn anything like this at the Summer Games," he said after beating Japan in their opener on Sunday night. "It's different. It's fun. Beach volleyball is a fun game, so I think they go hand in hand."

The biggest surprise of the day came from France's 4x100-meter freestyle relay team, which upset the favored United States and Australia.

No Tax for NY Yoga Studios

Yoga for New YorkNew York will not collect sales tax from yoga studios,? according to an advisory issued last week by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

Since yoga is a spirituality practice, not just exercise, yoga studios will not be subject to the same taxes as gyms in the state.

This is a victory for the nonprofit organization Yoga for New York, which has been rallying against the taxes since last year. In April the group held benefit classes to raise money for the cause.

?I am deeply pleased that the meaningful dialogue that we?ve had with the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance has led to this outstanding result for yoga studios and yoga students, so many of whom are waiters, dancers, and students,? said Yoga for New York Director Alison West. ?They could ill afford to pay an extra dollar for classes. This solution also takes care of the problem of the back-tax issue that would have bankrupted studios.?

While West is happy with the news, she said her organization still has work to do to help yoga businesses thrive. She is working with the Department of Labor to ensure studios are allowed to keep their teachers on the payroll as independent contractors instead of employees, and would also like to see the end of a building permit mandate from the NYC Department of Buildings that costs studios more money.

Protesters target NE Ga. animal shelter over deaths

CLAYTON - Protesters want the board of directors to resign from a northeast Georgia animal shelter that promised not to kill pets but is accused of euthanizing several of them.

The protesters collected signatures on a petition in Clayton Saturday calling for the resignation of the board of directors overseeing the Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter in Tiger. The shelter's former director has been fired and its board chairwoman has resigned.

Fox 5 Atlanta recently reported that the shelter ran a so-called "Luck Dog and Cat" program. By paying at least $100, animal lovers or people giving up pets could sponsor animals at the no-kill shelter. The money was supposed to cover veterinary treatments, making it easier for others to adopt those pets.

But documents show some of the pets were put down.

Four Pacific Police officers still on the beat despite termination letters from Mayor Cy Sun

Pacific Mayor Cy Sun tried to fire the four police officers who arrested him last week ? but all of them are still on the job.

"We've instructed them to continue to work." said Michelle Woodrow, the officers' union representative and the Teamsters Local 117 Department of Corrections and Law Enforcement Coordinator.

"They will continue to do their duty in protecting the citizens of Pacific and ensuring that police services are provided here," Woodrow added.

Lt. Edwin Massey, Sgt. Michel Bos, Officer Jeremiah Schliesman and Officer Josh Hong all met with Sun individually on Friday in what were supposed to be Loudermill hearings, which provide an opportunity for officers to respond to the reasons cited for their termination.

"Typically, in a true Loudermill hearing, the person hearing the hearing would then make some sort of decision and formalize that," said Woodrow. "This has happened kind of backwards, with letters of termination of employment prior to having the Loudermill hearings."

Scheduled for 9 a.m., Friday, in the control room at the Pacific City Hall, the hearings got off to a rocky start, with the first of the four starting more than an hour late, after the first attempts to get Sun to leave his office failed.

Sun later claimed he didn't know the officers or union representatives were there, despite a number of attention-getting raps on the window of the door leading to his office.

"They didn't report in to any of the employees or the reception window," Sun said. "They just knocked at the door and walked away. I didn't know who knocked at the door. I was in my office waiting for them. They can stop by the public works window, it's open. The treasurer billing window is open, there are people there."

Once the first meetings began, Woodrow said, the mayor first tried to deny her the right to represent the officers in the hearings, despite assurances in the pre termination letters that they would be allowed to have legal counsel or a union representative present during the hearings.

"The mayor attempted to violate my member's rights and told him that he couldn't have union representation at the meeting, and that if I was going to be present, the meeting was over," Woodrow said. "And that's how (the first meeting) ended. He does not understand what the Loudermill process is and asserted that the member had to speak to him alone. And we are not going to do that."

Although Sun met with all four officers ? with Woodrow present ? the mayor made no final decisions about their future employment.

"The meeting, quite frankly, did not go anywhere," Woodrow said.

"I wouldn't try and guess what he may do next," she added. "It's anyone's guess at this point. We've instructed the four of them to continue to work."

On the whole, Woodrow said, the process was "frustrating."

"...I can't imagine the emotional impact this is having on the city as a whole," Woodrow said. "The citizens of the city of Pacific should be concerned when they have a mayor who is trying to terminate half of their police force. It's just ridiculous."

Sun sent out letters of pre termination earlier this week, accusing the officers of gross insubordination; unlawful harassment and discrimination; discourteous and prejudicial conduct; and willful and intentional violation of lawful orders. The letters also accuse the officers of "unlawful anarchy and mutiny against the City of Pacific."

All of the officers were on duty when Sun was arrested for trying to enter the locked and taped off the city clerk's office at Pacific City Hall. He was later released from custody and not charged.

Sgt. Bos said the whole experience has been disheartening.

"I'm not a happy camper. This is draining on the department, department members, families. It's devastating that this is happening to us, to the city."

ALSO: Mayor Cy Sun denied allegations on Friday that he had appointed himself the Pacific Police chief.

In a press release Thursday, the Pacific Police Department addressed rumors that the mayor intended to appoint himself as police chief.

"Questions keep arising as to the Mayor's qualifications and self appointment to the rank of chief of police. The Mayor is not the chief of police. He has the authority to appoint this position, but is not qualified to act within the scope of that position."

Sun agreed that he was not qualified for the post and said the rumors aren't true.

"I don't know where they got it from," Sun said. "They must have picked it up from the sky. Me acting as police chief? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It'd be just like them acting as mayor."

The embattled mayor ? who is under investigation by the King County Sheriff's Office for allegedly destroying City documents ? also denied that he has destroyed any City documents.

"I don't remember what documents they're talking about," Sun said. "I was surprised (by the investigation), because I didn't know anything about it."

Tweet This Kansas City, Missouri (July 2, 2012) -- Redhammer Roof Group, one of the leading residential and commercial roofing companies in Kansas City, is offering comprehensive periodic roof inspection services -- a crucial service for complete roof protection.

Many home and business owners overlook the state and quality of their property's roof until they notice a major problem. Little do they know that serious roof damage can be prevented if only regular and proper inspections are performed by the kind of roofers Kansas City property owners can trust.

Redhammer Roof Group provides some of the most thorough periodic roof inspection services among Kansas City roofing companies. With help from their roof inspection specialists, any potential source of damage can be dealt with even before it could cause harm to the roof or any other part of the infrastructure.

Their roof inspection procedure involves a painstaking check for damages and irregularities across the roof and deck. They check whether the layers of roofing materials have been installed properly, and if the flashing around all roof penetrations -- such as pipes and air vents -- are in good state.

The roof inspection service also includes an inspection of the attic to check for moisture and mildew and to see if there is adequate and efficient ventilation and drainage.

Redhammer Roof Group has become one of the primary roofing companies in Kansas City since their establishment in 1998. They are affiliated with the Certified Contractors Network and the National Roofing Contractors Association, and currently hold a spot in Angie's Super Service List. They also have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.

To contact these roofers from Kansas City, call 816-965-6220. More information on Redhammer Roof Group and their services are also available at www.RedhammerRoof.com.

Mississippi church refuses to marry black couple

They had booked their wedding far in advance. The invitations had been sent, the programs printed. But one day before Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson were to be married at the Mississippi church they frequented, they said a pastor told them they would have to find another venue -- because they were black.

There has never been a black wedding at the First Baptist Church in Crystal Springs, Miss., since its founding in 1883. According to Pastor Stan Weatherford, some church members objected so strongly to breaking that precedent, they threatened to oust him from his pastorship.

Rather than risk his job, Weatherford, who is white, said he decided to marry the pair at a black church down the road.

"My 9-year-old was going to the church with us. How would you say to your 9-year-old daughter, 'We cannot get married here because, guess what sweetie, we're black,'" Charles Wilson told ABC's affiliate WAPT-TV.

Outrage over the wedding's forced relocation swept the Jackson suburb of about 5,000 into a media firestorm.

The vast majority of Crystal Springs residents, blacks and whites alike, were "blown away" by the church's decision, said Theresa Norwood, 48, who was born in Crystal Springs and has lived there her entire life.

Norwood said she believes Weatherford should have married the Wilsons regardless of the risk to his job.

"That church was their home," she said. "What would Jesus have done? He would have married them, without a doubt, because it's the right thing to do. We're all God's children."

While the Wilsons were not members of the church, they often attended services there, and Te'Andrea's uncle is an employee of the church, and her father is a member. Charles Wilson told WAPT that the couple had planned to join as members after their wedding, which was held July 20.

Weatherford told WLBT-TV in Jackson that he would have liked to marry the couple as planned, but he decided to perform the ceremony elsewhere as a compromise to ensure that the Wilsons could be married while "addressing a need within our congregation."

Norwood, who is black, said her nephew came to worship at First Baptist Church while he was temporarily living with her, having been evacuated from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The church "made him feel at home," she said, but now she wonders whether he would return there when he visits Crystal Springs.

The church is now holding internal meetings to figure out how it should respond to future requests by black couples to be married there, Weatherford told WLBT-TV.

For her part, though, Norwood, who is dating a white man, said that if she and her boyfriend decide to get married, they will likely look for a different venue.

How to Use Internet Marketing Strategies for Blog Marketing?

When I mention internet marketing strategies, the commonest reaction that I have witnessed from bloggers is a weird mixture of ignorance, aversion, fear and disinterest. I find this very strange because I strongly believe that no matter what kind of online business you engage in, you should be aware of the marketing part as well.

"internet marketing strategies"

I think this aversion and fear towards internet marketing strategies by bloggers is because majority of them do not think it is necessary to market their blog. They seem to think that marketing is best left to the affiliate marketers and small business owners who are selling some stuff on their ecommerce sites.

Blog marketing is necessary or how do you suppose that internet users are going to find you among the billions of blogs in the blogosphere? It is but natural to get a bit alarmed when you hear the words marketing and strategies together, but believe me; it?s really not that tough.

?

Internet Marketing Strategies that Bloggers Use Unknowingly

Despite the fear and aversion, almost all bloggers are using some of the internet marketing strategies, each day of their blogging life. Don?t believe me? Wait until I start listing them out and you will say, ?Oh I didn?t even realize that this is something that I routinely do, but did not know that it?s a kind of blog marketing?.

Have you ever created an account with any of the article directories and submitted your articles with a link in the resource box pointing towards your blog? Well, that is step 1 of blog marketing and you already are a master at this, aren?t you? See what I meant by saying that bloggers use many internet marketing strategies unknowingly?

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Comment Strategy as a Part of Blog Marketing

Okay let?s get a bit honest here. How many of you have a list of popular blogs that use Commentluv plugin and visit each of these blogs with the sole intention of leaving a link to your recent post on those blogs? Well, this is another one of those internet marketing strategies that you thought you did know anything of. When people see your comments they can also see the link to your most recent post. If this post has an interesting title or if it deals with something of importance, you can expect them to visit your blog via that link.

?

Contests Giveaways and Challenges for Blog Marketing

Even if you are a newbie blogger who has been blogging only for the last 7 days, you must be aware of at least 2 blogging contests or some blog which is organizing a giveaway in return for commenting or a good quality post. ?

What are these contests and prizes arranged for? What is the actual intention behind such generousness displayed by the blog owners? The answer is quite simple; they are using the best of the internet marketing strategies for marketing their blog. Imagine the traffic and visits that such blogs will receive from newbie / beginner bloggers who are desperate to achieve fame (even if it is just for a single day) among their peers and other bloggers in the community.

?

Guest Posting for Blog Marketing

There is no other intention in posting a guest blog post on another blog rather than marketing your newly set up blog to the readers of the host blog. By creating a good quality guest post, you are trying to encourage and entice the readers of the host blog to come and visit your blog for more posts.

This is not only a good blog marketing strategy but also helps to boost your Google page rank as well (but this is possible only if the host blog also relates to your niche and it has a higher PR and provides a ?dofollow? backlink to your blog)

?

Synopsis

There is no point in ignoring or hating things that we don?t understand or comprehend. I am a person who strongly encourages knowledge and that is why my blog tagline says ?Let Knowledge Empower You?. At the outset, when you have just set up your new blog or an online business, some terms and things may seem complex and tough to crack.

Instead of running away from such things, it is better to discipline yourself to spend some efforts in learning all about it. Just like you and every other blogger has been using many internet marketing strategies without even realizing, you might also be capable of learning so many new things but you do not realize it yet.?

Melting Ice Floods Greenland River, Satellite Photo Shows

Melting ice in Greenland has swelled the island's rivers with water. A NASA satellite snapped a photo of meltwater overflowing the banks of the Watson River near Kangerlussuaq, a key air transportation hub, on July 12.

Two weeks later, however, river levels have receded somewhat, according to a release from the NASA Earth Observatory.

"Water rises every year, but I've never before observed it at this level of discharge," said Richard Forster, a University of Utah researcher who has done extensive fieldwork in Greenland, in a statement. "It was also about two weeks prior to the normal seasonal peak."

The town, known as Kanger, hosts one of the island's busiest commercial airports and is a frequent departure point for scientific research flights. It lies about 74 miles (125 kilometers) from the sea.

The water most likely came from melting of the ice sheet ? rather than an ice-dammed lake bursting or glacial lake drainage ? as the high discharge was maintained for so long, Forster said.

The flooding follows reports that 97 percent of Greenland's ice sheets thawed on the surface, according to satellite measurements. Only four days before, ?just 40 percent of the surface ice layer was thawing.

This year's ice melt is well above average: About half of Greenland's surface ice tends to melt every summer, with the meltwater at higher elevations quickly refreezing in place and the coastal meltwater either pooling on top of the ice or draining into the sea. [Giant Ice: Photos of Greenland's Glaciers]

The massive melt may have been caused by a ridge or dome of warm air hovering over Greenland.

Signs of ice melt were even found around Summit Station in central Greenland, which at 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) above sea level is near to the highest point on the ice sheet.

The melting characteristics of such a huge ice sheet ? spanning 656,000 square miles (1.7 million square kilometers) ? is important for various reasons, particularly its potential effect on sea levels. If melted completely, the Greenland ice sheet could contribute 23 feet (7 meters) to global sea-level rise, according to a 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the international body charged with assessing climate change.

Whether or not this recent massive melt will affect the overall ice loss this summer, and as such bump up sea level, is still an open question.

In other Greenland-melting news, a massive iceberg that recently broke away from one of Greenland's largest glaciers is making its way downstream and toward the open ocean, as shown by a new satellite photo.

The drifting island of ice split from the Petermann Glacier's ice shelf ? the front end of a glacier, which hangs off the land and floats on the ocean.

Thenewly birthed berg is estimated to be about 46 square miles (120 square kilometers), and finally broke away from the floating tongue of ice on Monday, July 16.

Budget Living: Family Board Game Night | Romance on a Budget

The weekend is almost here and many families will be trying to figure out what they can do together with their time off. Many of the options, such as batting cages, movies, mini golf and dinging out, can be tough the budget. Today I?d?like?to talk a little bit about something that is not only easy on the wallet, but can become a long-standing family?tradition: ?Board Game Night.

This coming weekend, try reserving a couple of hours to play a board game with your significant other or the family. Put aside those cell phones, PDA?s and blackberries and visit memory lane as you open one of those board games you have stashed in your closet. Not only will you get a chance to re-live some great memories, but you?ll create new ones as well. And it?s free. :)

Don?t?have?a board game? No problem. Games can range anywhere from $2 to $80, depending on the type of game and it?s popularity. You don?t need the flashiest or most popular game to create a fun night. A simple deck of cards for $2 can provide hours of entertainment?and?some great bonding time.

My family began game night a while ago. It started out as a once a week event and it was so much fun that we now do it several times a week. It?s great getting together after a long day and reconnecting with each other. My kids are small, so we play games like Chutes and Ladders and Apples to Apples. After the kids go to bed, my husband and I pull out cards and play cribbage, poker, or spades. Sometimes we place bets on who will win and yes, sometimes those bets may be for sexual favors. Hey?it makes the games more interesting. :) But I?ll save that for a Budget Romance post?

For now, let?s take a stroll down memory lane, shall we? What was your favorite board game as a kid? Do you play board games now? What is your favorite game that you have in your closet? Tell me about it! I?d love to hear from you. :)

Emotional Support After Plastic Surgery | General health

Health and Fitness | General health | * Written by Ace Abbey | Wednesday, 25 July 2012 12:06 | Word Count: 561

Typically, if a patient considers the emotional aspects of plastic surgery, they focus on the renewed self-esteem and sense of confidence that they'll acquire as they enjoy their newly formed body. Many don't realize that adverse emotional reactions can set in also, especially immediately following the procedure. Your body is recovering from a major interruption to its daily functions. It was bombarded with anesthetic medications as well as other prescriptions which are designed to reduce pain and swelling. Also, your body won't look as you've envisioned it right away. You will probably be swollen and bruised, and your body needs time to settle down and recover before the full effects of your surgery can be seen. All of this physical turmoil can cause your emotions to go haywire, so what can you do to help yourself through this potentially difficult phase?

Develop Your Emotional Support System

Your spouse, family members, and friends can provide a strong support system. Simply talking about your feelings and anxieties with another adult (especially one who has already undergone plastic surgery), can be very calming. You'll be reassured that you're not alone!

Organize Your "Recovery Station" Before Surgery

Choose your favorite sofa or recliner and move an end table nearby. You'll want to pile the end table with your favorite books, magazines, snack foods, bottled water, the TV remote, and any other items you'd like to use as you relax. You'll probably want to be near the bathroom, since you'll be drinking plenty of water.

Follow Your Surgeon's Discharge Instructions

Your surgeon will send you home with prescriptions medications and instructions for caring for your incision site. Be sure that you follow the instructions to the letter: take your medication on a regular basis, change your bandage and clean the site when instructed, and avoid scratching or itching since extra contact with the site can cause infection.

Be Patient with Yourself as You Recover

Your body needs time to heal. It's been through a rigorous marathon in order to achieve your new look, and you want to give it all the time it needs to recover completely. Let your family and friends wait on you until you feel ready to get back up and about. Don't worry if it takes more time that you expected to regain your energy. You focus on resting until you feel up to getting back into your daily routine.

Eat Healthy, Nutritious Food

You may not feel like eating much in the first couple days after surgery. Plan to drink lots of water and eat light snacks as you are able. Soon, you'll feel hungry again. Your body needs the extra vitamins and minerals as it recovers, so choose snacks and light meals that are packed full of fresh fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates, and protein. Not only will this help your body to heal faster, but it will help you feel emotionally better too.

Call Your Doctor with Any Questions or Concerns

Whether you're experiencing physical or emotional symptoms related to your recovery from plastic surgery, contact your doctor with any concerns. He'll provide support and answers to set your mind at ease.
